Description

The Role

• Act as a hands-on technical lead and be a major development contributor to the product
• Design and build features from scratch, make technical decisions and chart technical architecture for company’s product
• Work with the outsource team to chart the course for the future to transition the team in-house based on the business needs
• Own every aspect of company’s software development process and engineering culture
• Partner with other business stakeholders to enable delivery of the current and future roadmap
• Be the internal and external face of company's technology for customers, partners and investors
• Establish and maintain metrics to manage the availability of service to ensure our systems continue to scale as we grow

Qualifications:

• Previous experience building and leading engineering teams
• Previous experience working at a startup and/or building products from scratch
• 5+ years of building and shipping software products
• 2+ years’ experience managing teams and participating in the hiring process
• A drive to learn new technologies and develop unique solutions to problems
• Ability to drive technical decision making through objectively assessing tradeoffs based on architecture, scope, business priorities, and impacts to the product experience
• Experience working with consumer products and knowledge of the beauty industry is a plus
