Description

The Senior Manager, Business Analysis is an IT role that serves in a lead project and support function across business units for addressing business process and IT systems needs and implementing system enhancements and bug fixes. In this role, you will help set the vision of the BA team, initiate projects that can add value to that vision, and supervise other analysts to implement against those projects.

 

The role includes troubleshooting complex issues with supported systems and handing off issues to other analysts, administrators, and/or application support or engineering teams, as necessary. The Senior Manager will help to implement computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems and designing and testing standards and solutions. The person in this role will work on core IT projects that support Audubon’s operations across the organization, including its network of field offices, and will report to the Director of IT Application Development.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Collaborate with business owners, project managers, engineers, and operations and maintenance resources on implementing solutions and defining constraints and risks.
  • Supervise, develop, and/or mento rother analysts and assist in coaching other members of the team.
  • Facilitate iterative user review sessions, identifying design improvements, managing issues and user expectations, and driving completion of key actions.
  • Ability to develop and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the organization. Foster innovation, facilitate critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results.
  • Display an intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. Lead and direct team to meet goals. Ability to cultivate and implement an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.
  • Run routine queries using SQL and work with relational databases.
  • Interact with clients on requirements gathering and system design.
  • Interact with other product managers, business analysts, and solution developers to communicate and validate requirements.
  • Perform functional and integrated testing.
  • Prepare and maintain project and technical documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports, and user documentation.
  • Work with product managers, project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate new and existing IT products and services.
  • Assist in maintaining our Salesforce instance, supporting internal customer needs including merging duplicate records, importing updated records, and cleaning up incorrect records.
  • Author and prepare meeting notes to be distributed to a variety of audiences.
  • Author user stories, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

    • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
    • Bachelors preferred or equivalent experience

 

  • Previous experience managing staff, including identifying level requirements, candidate selection, training, performance management, retention, etc.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience with MS Office, specifically MS Excel, and digital project tools such as Airtable and Asana.
  • Experience working with enterprise IT systems such as Salesforce, ERP solutions, and/or Human Resource or Finance solutions.
  • Experience with Data Specifications and 3rd party APIs.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience creating/executing software test cases.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and SQL preferred.
  • Testing automation and script development experience a plus.
  • Functional analysis and strong writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to client site on occasion and as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines.
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects at once.
