The Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics Training (ED&A) is responsible for the global roadmap, approach, and execution of data & analytics training for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding, appreciation, and interpretation of data and analytics, of transformation impact on the business; and of training design and the role training has in adoption and success of the overall program. The Director will identify, build, and deliver training programs that complement new ways of working, agile development, and iterative design, with the goal of strengthening overall capability, skills, and proficiency with data and analytics. The work will be aligned to the global ED&A “Lighthouse” strategic initiative, which will roll out to associates globally using a product approach, categorizing incremental delivery as Commercial, Supply, Consumer, Product, and Enterprise. These programs will empower our associates to a) ask the right questions of data b) understand visuals c) Interpret Retail math/Enterprise analytics with the goal of driving enterprise strategic objectives. This role will partner closely with Enterprise Data & Analytics “Product” teams which will include Technical, Business, Business Process, and other training teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a data-focused business role, working cross-functionally, and co-creating or leading the development and curation of training curricula and courses.

They will have a keen understanding of UX/UI design and learning analytics to build and measure effective and engaging solutions. They will be well-versed in the art of storytelling to connect a strategic objective with a visual that drives an action toward a preferred outcome.

The Director will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work and will develop a strong vision of what is possible, pulling inspiration from all avenues including tech trends, global events, talent thought leadership, and business priorities. They will be a contributing voice in providing product direction in quarterly “Product” planning sessions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Recommend and implement enterprise data and analytics (ED&A) training roadmap and execution plan

• Consult with the business, the Business Intelligence & Strategic Data Insights team, and the Data Portfolio team to develop ED&A training curricula and courses
• Evaluate & measure org capability, and build plan against that
• Oversee development & deployment of training on mindset, skills, capabilities, including how associates look at, interpret, and use data
• Mature ED&A training roadmap and plans to evolve with the business
• Leverage live instructor led, video tutorials, digital courses, knowledge checks, digital badges, and other modalities to build knowledge and skills of target user groups
• Co-create marketing and communication efforts to keep end users informed and engaged, working with key stakeholders
• Facilitate live data and analytics training sessions, and/or oversee those who facilitate
• Source, evaluate, select, and lead consulting and contract partners
• Advise on tool and system training

• Oversee development & management of new hire, enhancement & reinforcement training to drive business use & adoption
• Challenge the status quo and continuously improve the LX through introduction of new concepts, services, and approaches for a diverse global audience
• Consult with and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding data and analytics training
• Develop and evolve data and analytics training measurement strategy, including a dashboard, standardized needs analysis practices, and education of key stakeholders
• Stay up to date on external trends in data and analytics, learning and content creation technology, and training
• Proactively identify and recommend ways to operationalize concepts to drive engagement, efficiency, and scale
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in data and analytics and/or data and analytics training
• Experience teaching other data and analytics concepts and skills
• Knowledge of instructional design methodology a plus
• Data analysis, reporting, and summarizing data for key stakeholders; experience with Tableau or Power BI preferred
• Developing and maintaining internal/external relationships
• Project management and leadership
• Experience in consulting or advising a plus
