Full project life-cycle leadership is required including concept definition, requirements elicitation, wire frame creation, functionality specification, execution planning and management, and implementation oversight. A proven history of managing multiple projects for a busy, ad-supported, content publishing web site or the equivalent is essential. A successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and diplomatic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Plan, track and provide overall management for projects.
  • Manage all aspects of projects/processes: defining, planning, scheduling, monitoring, executing, and closing.
  • Schedule, lead and facilitate project team meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between business, creative and technical teams.
  • Assist project owners in documenting and translating business concepts and requirements.
  • Document project plans and schedules.
  • Promote teamwork and coordination across all departments.
  • Work with design and HTML staff to develop user interface based on translated project requirements.
  • Write functional specifications, develop use cases and work flow charts.
  • Proactively coordinate tasks and deliverables between internal and external project team members and external vendors.
  • Document and manage all lines of communication within project team.
  • Set expectations for deliverables and schedules and motivate resources to meet deadlines.
  • Provide project progress and status communications with project owners and business sponsors.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that threaten the project scope or timelines.
  • Coordinate among cross-functional teams to identify challenges, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, test and oversee project rollouts.

  • Experience with web development.
  • Experience with online media and website production.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Assertive, persuasive and diplomatic.
  • Highly organized with excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong process, planning and follow-up skills.
  • Strong team leadership and keen ability to achieve consensus.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite required; MS Project or other PM software experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, XML and standard web technologies.
