This position requires someone who will keep up with latest trends in Java front-end technologies and introduce them into projects in coordination with the organization's standards and other development groups.
Desired Experience
Qualifications:
Candidate must have the following technical and scientific qualifications in general and front-end specific areas.
General:
- Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE for a minimum of 5 years.
- Seasoned experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks for a minimum of 3 years.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) principles and skills in OO modeling in UML.
- Solid understanding of Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, a plus.
Front-end specific:
- Experienced in JSF at the expert level.
- Experienced in Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.
- Experienced in Ajax.
- Knowledge/experience of Scriptaculous or Prototype Framework, a plus.
- Experienced in hands-on UI layout design.
- Experience in Eclipse RCP, a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Flex, a plus.
Scientific
- Experienced in technical solution development for Pharma Research, Computation Biology and/or Chemistry.
The ideal candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, be able to multi-task and be a team player. The candidate must also have a strong initiative to come up with new ideas on his/her own within technical standards & present them to colleagues and management effectively.
