Report Developer

Candidate will be expected to develop reports using proprietary reporting software. Report development will include building custom reports based on user defined requirements as well as standard reports that ship with our products. Candidate will also assist in administrative tasks of the team which include leading team meetings, presenting team's performance to management, and innovating new reporting ideas. Responsibilities may also include resolving client support issues, gathering and documenting business requirements for reports, testing reports and applications, and client training.
Desired Experience
Requirements:
- Candidate must have financial services experience, private equity preferred.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in report construction, utilizing standard reporting tools: Business Objects Crystal Reports, Digital Metaphors ReportBuilder, Microsoft Access or similar. Experience with ReportBuilder is a plus.
- Candidate must have a thorough understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language. Experience with Paradox or Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
- Candidate must have experience developing reports based on user defined specifications as outlined in design documents. Ability to apply client requirements to report design is crucial.
- Candidate must have experience including calculations on reports. Familiarity with portfolio performance metrics and the private equity/alternative assets industry is a plus.
- Candidate must have experience documenting and presenting performance of the team to management. Experience managing a team of technical and client support resources is a plus.
- Candidate must possess experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability.
