Duties and Responsibilities:
- Member of a high performance, solutions focused architecture team responsible for supporting business oriented project development effort.
- Perform architectural assessment, design, and evaluation of enterprise wide systems across all company business.
- Enforce proper design discipline leveraging industry strength analysis and design tool, e.g. IBM Rational, to ensure the application architecture team is delivering a robust system solution to the business.
- Develop, improve, and maintain the established service design methodology and process to ensure proper and robust service design.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architect within the Architecture Services group to ensure continue compliance of company's strategic architecture and blueprints.
- Partner with IT development team to ensure the architectural solution can be properly translated into efficient and robust implementation.
- Partner with project managers and business analysts to ensure IT is delivering technology solutions that meet business specification and create business values.
- Collaborate with other IT leadership to ensure continuity among architecture design, service development activities, service delivery and infrastructure deployment.
Desired Experience
Education and Experience:
- Master degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional Information Technology experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on IT system design and development experience.
- 3+ years of Healthcare Payer related experience.
Desired:
- Enterprise Architecture Certification e.g. TOGAF 8/9 certification.
- Strong knowledge in service delivery framework e.g. ITIL.
- Strong knowledge and usage of Enterprise Architecture tool e.g. Alfabet PlanningIT, Sparx Systems EA tool.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and related technologies e.g. Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Servics, Informatica, Business Objects.
- Knowledge of HIPAA 4010/5010, ICD9CM, ICD10, HITSP.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Domain knowledge on health insurance industry required. Knowledge of government healthcare systems for Medicare and Medicaid is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and/or service delivery framework e.g. ITIL
- Hands-on development experience in current and emerging integration tools (Microsoft Biztalk Server) and frameworks and EDI solution especially related to HIPAA.
- Hands-on development experience in Powerbuilder, Java, C#, Microsoft .NET and ASP.NET frameworks, and Java application framework like Spring.
- Thorough working knowledge in standard operating systems like Microsoft Windows (server and desktop), Sun Solaris and Linux.
- Hands-on knowledge in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database design and development.
- Proficient in application architecture, service oriented architecture (SOA), object-oriented and component based technologies, multi-tier distributed component based technologies, legacy infrastructure platforms and integration techniques, content management system, web/portal technologies, workflow, and enterprise service bus (ESB).
- In-depth hands-on experience of analysis and design tools e.g. IBM Rational Software.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate with senior management.
- Individual must be customer focus, results oriented, and process/metrics driven.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge in BPM tools e.g. Adonis, Tibco Business Studio.
- Working knowledge in Enterprise Architecture tool e.g. Alfabet PlanningIT, Sparx Systems EA tool.
- Knowledge of HIPAA 4010/5010, ICD9CM, ICD10, HITSP.
- Willing to travel 25-50% of the time to work with teams in geographically dispersed locations.
