Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as the hands-on technical lead in architecting, building, maintaining, improving, and optimizing all our client's Information architecture components including Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Master Data Management (MDM) and Business Intelligence (BI).
- Manage all aspects of design, modeling, development, and implementation of our client's Information architecture initiatives that aligns with business organizations' requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to resolve any technical issues as needed.
- Maintain a practical and effective Data Stewardship governance process and standard.
- Define and maintain enterprise information architecture delivery methodology, standards, data quality and policies.
- Coach and train including but not limited to usage of BI tools, ad-hoc report generation, explanation of company data definitions, etc. to all relevant constituents.
- Responsible in maintaining the company Enterprise Information Architecture portal for enterprise wide information sharing.
- Responsible for publishing relevant company Enterprise Information Architecture artifacts to the internal portal on a regular basis.
- Act as a consulting resource to all business partners and fellow architects within the Architecture Services group in all matters related to enterprise information architecture.
- Align strategically with the company's Information Architecture to drive conformance while meeting specific requirements.
- Ensure the company keeps abreast of healthcare related data information technology best practices, trends and opportunities e.g. patient's health risk assessment.
Desired Experience
Education and Experience:
- Master degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of professional Information Technology experience.
- 10+ years of IT enterprise information architecture design and development experience.
- 5+ years of Healthcare Payer related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have extensive experiences in developing healthcare insurance related information architecture components such as Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Master Data Management (MDM) and Business Intelligence (BI).
- Experience with government healthcare systems for Medicare and Medicaid is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of data management (e.g. master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality).
- In-depth and hands-on knowledge of the following DW/MDM/BI related technologies including but not limited to:
- o Databases: Oracle 10+, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/8.
- o Modeling/DW Tool: CA ERWin, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Microsoft Analysis Services.
- o ETL Tools: Informatica, Oracle Warehouse Builder (ETL).
- o BI Tools: Business Objects, Cognos.
- Strong integration technology knowledge especially Microsoft Biztalk Server and its adaptors, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology, and workflow design and development.
- Knowledge in service delivery framework e.g. ITIL is desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD9CM, ICD10, HITSP is desirable.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate with senior management.
- Individual must be customer focus, results oriented, and process/metrics driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willing to travel 25-50% of the time to work with teams in geographically dispersed locations.
